Abstract
This study evaluates the positive impact of computer studies in senior secondary schools in Enugu north local government area of Enugu state. The research adopted survey research method, the population used for the study was obtained from 10 secondary Schools. Sample size of 900 was determined using mean score statistical formula. Data were collected using questionnaire and interview and thereafter tables and statistical tools were used for presentation and analysis respectively. Finding of the study reveals that that Computer Studies have a very positive impact in senior secondary schools in Enugu North L.G.A. The study concludes that the inclusion of Computer education in senior secondary schools has positive impact in the teaching and learning process in secondary schools in Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. The study among other things recommended that Computer education should be made compulsory at all levels of secondary schools. Also Computer Studies should be made a core subject in the senior secondary examinations organized by examination bodies such WAEC, NECO and NBTE. This will encourage students to endeavour to increase their knowledge on computer education and improve on their quality of education.
