Abstract

The study examined the Application of Information Communication Technology (Ict) Facilities In The Implementation Of Social Studies Education Curriculum In Covid-19 Era Among Colleges Of Education In Enugu State, Nigeria with specific objectives which includes, to determine the availability of ICT facilities for the implementation of Social Studies Education Curriculum in COVID-19 era and the extent to which lecturers utilize ICT facilities in the implementation of Social Studies Education Curriculum in COVID-19 era among Colleges of Education in Enugu State. Descriptive research designed was adopted for the study among 72 social science lecturers in colleges of education in Enugu State. The data for the study were gathered through the use of checklists and questionnaire. The data were analyzed quantitatively using IBM SPSS Statistics 20. The results showed highly available ICT facilities for the implementation of Social Studies education curriculum in Colleges of Education The result of the study also shows that COVID-19 had increased the extent of utilization of ICT facilities in teaching and learning. The study recommended that neither Government nor individuals should establish Colleges of Education without seeing that they have sufficient ICT facilities and have other possible measures put in place to surmount the challenges that hinder the application of ICT in curriculum implementation.
