Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an essential component of modern healthcare, integrating computing, telecommunications, and electronic tools to capture, store, process, transmit, and display information. ICT enhances access to data, facilitates communication, and supports efficient healthcare delivery, including in psychiatric nursing. Users’ attitudes toward ICT often improve with increased exposure and experience, highlighting the importance of training and familiarity in its effective adoption. The implementation and utilization of ICT are influenced by multiple factors, including users’ knowledge, attitudes, technical expertise, and organizational support. In psychiatric nursing, ICT offers opportunities for improved patient care, record management, communication among healthcare professionals, and educational support for nursing staff. This case study at the Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, explores the patterns, facilitators, and challenges of ICT utilization in psychiatric nursing practice, providing insights into how technology can be effectively integrated to enhance healthcare outcomes.
