Abstract

Restaurant work presents unique challenges that contribute to high levels of employee stress. Staff members often face long working hours, client complaints, absenteeism, and difficult workplace dynamics, alongside personal stressors such as financial pressures, family responsibilities, and health concerns. While stress is unavoidable, effective management strategies can reduce unnecessary stress and enhance coping abilities. Promoting positive relationships between restaurant management and employees is essential for fostering a supportive work environment, improving employee wellbeing, and maintaining productivity. This study assesses stress management practices among restaurant employees and highlights strategies that can help managers, owners, and businesses cultivate a harmonious workplace, ultimately enhancing job satisfaction and organizational efficiency.
