Urban solid waste management has become a peculiar problem in urban centers resulting in a deteriorating state of the urban environment. Against this background, this study is designed to examine the impact of recycling of Solid waste on the health of inhabitants of Enugu metropolis. To Guild the study, two research questions were state and two hypotheses were tested at 0.5 level of significance. The design of study is descriptive survey design. The population of the study comprise all waste dealers in Enugu urban under the umbrella of waste dealers association, Enugu Branch. The reliability of the instrument was obtain with a test-retest method and reliability index was 0.75.  Various research methods are employed in data collection, collation, and analysis. The main institute for data collection was structured questionnaire. The paper revealed among other things that extent of recycling activities in the state is very small and limited to private and metal. Paper recycling is not high while glasses are not recycled at all.  However all these in–organic waste constitution negligible percentage of waste generate. Recycling activities have no environmental cleanliness because the bulk of waste generated are organic which are not recycled even though there is latent demand for compost manure. The paper further revealed that recycled products have competitive demand. Based on these findings, the study recommended for an articulated action plan to create awareness on the economic uses of waste materials and effectively manage organic waste through recycling
