Abstract
This study determined the effect of jail congestion to the well-being (physical and psychological well-being) of inmates. Two hundred seventy (270) inmates took part in this study. A self-made questionnaire was utilized to answer the objectives of the study. Descriptive research was utilized. Results revealed that majority of the respondents “agree” on the effects of jail congestion both in their physical and psychological well being. Moreover, a significant difference was found on the effect of jail congestion to inmates’ well-being when they are grouped according to their sex and age.
