The history of European settlement in the teke country in particular and in the Kukuya plateau in particular cannot be dissociated from the history of the teke kingdom. This story has great importance for years all civilization of Congo before independence. Today, the history of great cities, legendary mythical integral part of world heritage and no civilization can do without its history. The kukuya plateau is an important center or even a hub for exchanges in the teke civilization. It had then many years attracted the attention of Europeans who finally decided to settle there by all possible means. This study finally intends to examine the major stages of European occupation in the Kukuya plateau and their impact by Europeans
