Abstract
Education is placed at the front burner in state developmental agenda. This is so as education is the bedrock of sustainable human development. This research is aimed at investigating students’ performance based on their Senatorial Districts in Osun State Public Secondary Schools. The source of data was secondary, extracted from content analysis of existence documents from the State Bureau of Statistics and West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC). The methodology employed the use of descriptive statistics, trend analysis and Chi-square test. The result of the analysis revealed that students’ performances are independent of the three Senatorial Districts of the State and more importantly it revealed that students’ performance is not tribal sensitive. It is recommended that Training and re-training of teachers on modern ways of teaching should be encouraged. There should be review of school curricula to align with WAEC syllabus. Government should employ more teachers to meet United Nations recommendation of 27:1 students: teacher ratio.
