Abstract

With the rapid advancement of urbanization, the lifestyles of young urban residents are undergoing significant transformation. No longer confined to basic accommodation, young people increasingly seek personalized, flexible living spaces that support both their personal and professional lives. As the core private space and a primary unit in rental housing, the bedroom plays a pivotal role in reflecting these evolving preferences. This paper examines bedroom design from a comprehensive perspective, integrating aesthetic and functional considerations with the physiological and psychological needs of contemporary youth. By analyzing key design parameters and aligning them with the real-life demands of young individuals, particularly in urban work environments, the study aims to offer actionable design references. The findings contribute to a broader understanding of how interior spaces can adapt to the dynamic lifestyle of young city dwellers, highlighting the bedroom as a critical site for research into urban youth living conditions.
