Conflicts in schools are a common phenomenon due to the systemic functioning of these organizations. The different personalities, individual perceptions and multiple goals of teachers create friction and disrupt the school climate that is needed for effective educational work. Among the many causes are lack of communication, organizational weaknesses, conflicting goals of individuals and groups, and individual differences. The ways of coping vary, but converge in collaboration, understanding, communication, outright organizational rules and consistent goals. Negotiation, good organizational functioning, avoidance and compromise are suggested as management strategies. The principal is asked to manage them for the benefit of the school unit.
