This study investigated the relationship between e-archiving and information management efficiency of tertiary institutions in Rivers State. The study adopted a quantitative research method, the research design is cross sectional with explanatory or hypotheses testing research design. A correlational research was adopted as the method of investigation. The population of the study was the seven tertiary institutions operating in Rivers State, Nigeria. This population was fully studied as census investigation. The study adopted survey study with primary data as the means of data collection. The data generated were analyzed with the statistical tool of Pearson Product Moment Correlation (PPMC). This statistic is aided with the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS), version 25.0. The findings of this study are that e-archiving positively and significantly correlate with information management efficiency. Again, e-archiving also significantly and positively correlates with information management cost efficiency and information management time efficiency respectively. The study therefore concludes that e-archiving significantly enhance information management efficiency. We therefore recommend that the tertiary institutions in Rivers State should adopt a computer based management information system, this will drive e-archiving and significantly improve both cost and time effective information management in our higher educational institutions’ workplaces in Rivers State.
