Majority of Nigerians engage in agricultural activities for food production as means of livelihood, any obstacle to farming poses a threat to their standard of living. The agricultural activities which facilitate food production are wholly dependent on the climate change. Climate change manifest n the form of drought, flooding, erosion, alteration of surface and ground water and devastation of ecosystems which adversely affect food production a country. The threat of climate change becomes more worrisome due to high prevalence of famine hunger and malnutrition in Nigeria. On this premise, the paper centred on the linkages: exploring the nexus between climate change and food production in Nigeria. It explored the concept of climate change and food production as well as causes of climate change. Next, nexus between climate and food production were discussed. Finally conclusion were drawn and recommendations.
