The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0 or 4IR) represents an essential transformation in the manner we live, work and relate to one another. It is enabled by extraordinary technology that based on science and technical education in which Polytechnic was created for. The term Industry 4.0 is trending in many countries where technological advances are enabling significant changes in industry. In 2011 when referring to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where technology will not only increase resource and time efficiency, but will also changes the way people work. The aim of this project is to apply statistical knowledge and practice to assessing Polytechnic institutions on their readiness for 4IR in order to maximize the economic benefits of 4IR amidst trajectory of pandemics and to meet up to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) (2015-2030). The methodology deployed was Optimal Scaling Regression Analysis for design and development of the proposed decomposed models of readiness. Questionnaires and Zoom meeting were used to extract opinions. Factor analysis was used to evaluate the appropriateness and relevance of research data and to ascertain the harmony between research hypothesis and questionnaire variables. However, data reliability and fitness of the proposed models were gauged using R-square and Analysis of Variance techniques. The results from the analysis showed that Nigerian Polytechnics are partially ready for 4IR. It is recommended for policy makers and other stakeholders to align with the 4IR so that the challenges faced during COVID-19 would not resurface
