Abstract
A church that is concerned with growth takes cognizance of its technical growth as technology impacts on the realization of corporate goals. Organizations seek to develop their leaders by enhancing their competencies and change awareness, to be able to take advantage of technological breakthroughs to accelerate their growth. The church as an organization is no exemption. The study examines the contributions of leadership development to the technical growth of the Pentecostal churches, measured in terms of satellite and media worship services and administration automation. The study adopts a cross-sectional survey design. The population comprises the 150 churches registered with PFN and the sample size of 108 was determined with Krejcie and Morgans’ (1970) table. The sample subjects were obtained using the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were obtained through a self-administered questionnaire and the Spearman’s Rank Order Correlation Coefficient was used to analyze the hypothetical statements. The findings revealed positive and significant relationships between leadership development and all the measures of church growth. The study concludes that leadership development significantly relates to the technical growth of churches and recommends enhancement of competency and change-awareness of the leaders for the technical growth of churches
