Abstract
The study was conducted to identify work-skill modules required by secondary school graduates in pig processing and marketing in Enugu State. A research question and a hypothesis guided the study. The study made use of survey design. A 29 skill item questionnaire was used to collect data from 77 respondents. The questionnaire was face validated by three experts and was also tested for reliability with the alpha coefficient of 0.83. The data collected were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer the research question, and t-test statistics to test the hypothesis. The major finding of the study revealed that 29 work-skills were required in pig processing and marketing. It was recommended that the work-skill modules with their corresponding skills identified by the study could be packaged into training programme and integrated into state’s skill acquisition centres by Enugu State government for training unemployed secondary school graduates in pig processing and marketing enterprise.
