Abstract
The E-cooking app-tutor is a mobile application that provides users with a more flexible, interactive interface that is simple to use on a mobile device. In this era, people have numerous tasks and targets and thus have little or no time for some domestic activities such as cooking because of their perceived cumbersome procedures and time constraints. The purpose of the study was to develop a cook-tutor-app for a tutee-chef with the following objectives; identify the classes of delicacies in Rivers State, categorize the recipes in each of the Rivers delicacies, design a cook-tutor-App, implement the cook-tutor-App, and test the cook-tutor-App. The waterfall model was adopted in the research because of its component-based approach. The client and server layer of the architecture communicates through HTTPS. The React Native based on React.js, which is written in JavaScript programing language along with the Mongo database was the implantation platform. The study developed the cook-tutor-App, which was tested and deployed for use by desired-tutee-cooks on Rivers State food and delicacies. The app provides users with a very friendly user interface (UI) where they can maximize everything they learn from the E-Cooking class. The app contains the following feature; Registration and Login page, Home page, Recipe Search page, Recipe page, Add Recipe page, User Profile page, User Quality Score Icon, and Shop List page. The Add recipe feature has a very flexible platform on how users on the E-cooking app want to share their recipe with other users. The App runs on both android and IOS devices
